About the Library

Mis à jour aujourd’hui

Introduction

The Resource Library is a collection of ready-to-use automations, monitors, and scripts maintained by Level and the Level community. Instead of building common workflows from scratch, you can import them directly into your account and adapt them to fit your environment.

Browse the library at level.io/library.

Resource Library

What's in the Library

Resources are organized into 7 categories across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms:

  • General — Everyday IT tasks and utilities that don't fit neatly into a narrower category.

  • Maintenance — System upkeep, cleanup, and optimization workflows.

  • Patching — OS and application patching automations for all 3 platforms.

  • Security — Endpoint hardening, detection, and compliance policies.

  • Services — Tools for monitoring and managing system services.

  • Setup — Initial configuration and deployment automation.

  • Software — Install and update software across your device fleet.

Each resource includes a description, platform tags, and a preview of what it does before you import it.

💡 TIP: Start with the Patching and Global Monitoring resources — they're the most universally applicable and give you immediate visibility and coverage on new devices.

Importing a Resource

Importing adds a copy of the resource to your Level account. The original in the library stays unchanged — any edits you make are local to your account.

  1. Navigate to level.io/library.

  2. Browse or filter by category and platform to find the resource you want.

  3. Click the resource card to open its detail page.

  4. Click Import to add it to your account.

  5. After import, the resource appears in the relevant section of your Level account:

    1. Automations import to Automatisations.

    2. Monitors import to Moniteurs.

    3. Scripts import to Automations → Scripts.

ℹ️ NOTE: Imported resources are not linked to the library after import. If Level updates a resource in the library, your imported copy won't update automatically. Re-import to get the latest version.

Editing After Import

Most library resources are designed as a starting point. After importing, you can modify them to match your environment, scheduling preferences, or device groups.

💡 TIP: Before modifying an imported resource, duplicate it and keep the original unchanged. That way you can always reference the baseline configuration if something breaks.

For scripts with configurable parameters, review the script content before running it. Some resources use script variables that you'll need to verify or adjust for your environment.

FAQ

  • Does importing a resource change anything on my devices right away? No. Importing just adds the resource to your account. Automations won't run until you enable the triggers on that automation. Monitor policies won't apply until you assign tags to them.

  • Can I import the same resource more than once? Yes. Each import creates a new independent copy. This is useful if you want separate versions for different device groups with different configurations.

  • The library resource does something close to what I need but not exactly. Can I modify it? Yes. All imported resources are fully editable. See the relevant section for automations, monitors, or scripts for details on how to modify each type.

  • Who can access the Resource Library? The library itself at level.io/library is publicly accessible. Importing resources into your Level account requires an active Level account with access to the relevant feature (automations, monitors, or scripts).
