Level suspends accounts when it detects activity that suggests unauthorized access or misuse. This article explains what triggers a suspension, how to recognize one, and what to do next.
Why accounts get suspended
Level monitors for activity that indicates an account may be compromised or used outside the bounds of the Abuse & Restricted Use Policy. When suspicious activity is detected, Level suspends the account as a precaution.
Suspensions aren't necessarily permanent — they're a hold while the situation gets reviewed.
How to tell if your account is suspended
Email. Level sends a notification to the email address on your account when a suspension occurs.
Login. If you try to log in to a suspended account, you'll see a message indicating your email address is invalid. This is the suspension warning, not an actual account email issue.
ℹ️ NOTE: The login error message says your email is "invalid" — this wording can be confusing. It means the account is suspended, not that your email address is wrong or unrecognized.
Devices with the Level agent. Enrolled devices don't show any indication that the account is suspended. The agent continues running silently.
How to request a review
Email [email protected] with your account details. The team will review the activity that triggered the suspension.
As part of the review, Level may request a web meeting to walk through the flagged indicators and understand how you use the platform.
⚠️ WARNING: If Level doesn't hear back within 45 days, the account is permanently deleted. This includes uninstalling the Level agent from all enrolled devices.
Password or email access issues
If you can't access the email address on your account or need to reset your password, contact [email protected] directly. The team can assist outside of the normal self-serve flows.
Häufig gestellte Fragen
I got suspended but didn't do anything wrong — what happened? Automated detection isn't perfect. Unusual login patterns (new location, new IP, rapid changes) can trigger a suspension even on legitimate accounts. Email [email protected] and the team will review it.
What activity triggers a suspension? Level doesn't publish a specific list of triggers, but the Abuse & Restricted Use Policy covers what's considered restricted use.
Will my devices lose connectivity while the account is suspended? No. Devices with the Level agent continue operating normally — you just can't manage them through Level while the account is suspended.
What happens to my data if the account is deleted after 45 days? All devices and device history are permanently deleted and access is locked. Other account data (automations, scripts, monitors, etc.) is not recoverable after permanent deletion.
