Integrating Level RMM with DeskDay

With this integration, any alert you generate in Level will automatically spin up a ticket in DeskDay—streamlining your triage and response.

Prerequisites

  • Level administrator access (to create API Keys and Webhooks)

  • DeskDay account with “Integrations” permission

Note: This integration was built and is maintained by the DeskDay team. For full DeskDay setup details, see their documentation: How to Integrate with Level RMM

1. Create an API Key in Level

  1. In Level, go to Settings → API Keys.

  2. Click Create Key.

  3. Give it a descriptive name (e.g. “DeskDay Integration”), then click Save.

  4. Copy the new API Key—you’ll paste this in DeskDay in the next section.

2. Configure the Webhook in Level

Once you’ve kicked off the “Connect” in DeskDay, they’ll generate a Webhook URL and Secret ID. Bring those back here:

  1. In Level, go to Settings → Webhooks.

  2. Click Create Webhook.

  3. Name it (e.g. “DeskDay Alerts”), and paste the Webhook URL you copied from DeskDay.

  4. Paste the Secret ID into the “Secret” field—this ensures DeskDay’s calls are authenticated.

  5. Under Events, select Alert Created (and any other alert types you’d like forwarded).

  6. Click Save.

3. Finish Setup on the DeskDay Side

Return to your DeskDay window and click Proceed. DeskDay will validate the API Key and Webhook you configured. Once successful:

  • Choose which board in DeskDay will receive Level alerts as tickets.

  • Optionally map customers and devices so each ticket is auto-tagged correctly.

4. Testing & Verification

  1. In Level, trigger a test alert—for example, generate a synthetic CPU-threshold breach.

  2. Confirm a new ticket appears in your chosen DeskDay board, with the correct customer/device information.

  3. If it doesn’t show up:

    • Verify your API Key in DeskDay matches exactly (no extra spaces).

    • Check your Webhook URL + Secret in Level for typos.

    • Review Level’s Webhook logs (Settings → Webhooks → [your webhook] → View Logs) for HTTP response codes.

5. Ongoing Management

  • Rotate your API Key every 90 days (Settings → API Keys → Regenerate).

  • Disable or Delete the Webhook in Level to stop forwarding alerts.

  • In DeskDay, you can re-map customers/devices at any time via Control Center → Integrations → Level.
