Let's dive into Remote Control Approval settings in Level. This feature gives you flexible options to manage how you connect to devices remotely.
You have two main choices for Remote Control Approval:
Notify end-user (default): This simply lets the user know you're connecting. It's like a friendly wave before you step in.
Ask for approval: This option requires the user to give you the green light before you can connect.
If you choose "Ask for approval," you have an extra decision to make. What happens if the user doesn't respond? You've got two options:
Connect if the end-user doesn't answer: If they don't hit that approve button, you'll still get in after a short wait.
Require approval: No approval, no access. Simple as that.
These settings help you balance security and efficiency. Choose what works best for your team and clients. Need to tighten security for some high-priority devices? Go for full approval. Need quick access for routine maintenance? The notification option might be your best bet.
Remember, right now these settings apply to all your devices. But stay tuned โ we're planning on making this a Group Setting in the future.
