Einführung
Remote control approval settings control what happens on the end user's screen when a technician initiates a remote control session. You can notify them silently, ask for their consent, or require explicit approval before the session begins.
The default approval mode is set at the organization level in Einstellungen → Sicherheit. Gruppes can override this default in Gruppe Einstellungen → Sicherheit.

Approval Modes
Two modes are available.
Neintify end user (default) A notification appears on the end user's screen when the session starts, letting them know a technician has connected. The session starts immediately — they don't have to do anything.
Ask for approval A dialog appears on the end user's screen asking them to approve or deny the connection. The session doesn't start until they respond.
Configuring the Org-Level Default
Navigate to Einstellungen → Sicherheit.
Under Fernsteuerung Approval, select your preferred mode.
Changes save automatically.
Zeitout Behavior for "Ask for Approval"
When Ask for approval is selected, you also configure what happens if the end user doesn't respond.
Two options:
Connect if the end user doesn't answer — The session starts automatically after the timeout period elapses, whether or not the user responded.
Require approval — If the user doesn't respond within the timeout window, the connection is denied. The technician must try again.
💡 TIPP: For high-sensitivity environments, use Require approval so connections never happen without explicit consent. For routine maintenance on unattended devices, Connect if the end user doesn't answer avoids blocking on a device where no one is sitting.
Gruppe-Level Overrides
The org-level setting is the default, but individual device groups can use a different approval mode. Konfigurieren this per group in Gruppe Einstellungen → Sicherheit.
ℹ️ HINWEIS: Gruppe-level settings take precedence over the org-level default for any device in that group.
Häufig gestellte Fragen
What does the end user actually see in "Neintify end user" mode? A notification appears on their screen indicating a technician has connected. The session is already active — they can't deny it, but they know it's happening.
Can end users deny a session in "Neintify end user" mode? Nein. Neintification mode is informational only. If you want end users to have veto power, use Ask for approval with the Require approval timeout option.
What happens if no one is at the device when "Ask for approval" is set? If the timeout behavior is set to Connect if the end user doesn't answer, the session opens after the timeout. If it's set to Require approval, the connection is denied and the technician sees an error.
Can I set different approval rules for different groups of devices? Ja. The org-level setting is the default, but each device group can have its own approval mode configured in Gruppe Einstellungen → Sicherheit.
Does this setting apply to background management (terminal, file explorer, etc.)? Nein. Approval settings only apply to remote control (screen sharing) sessions. Background management operates without any end-user notification or approval prompt.
