Your account settings control how you appear to others in Level. Update your name, email address, job role, and profile photo — all from one place.

Name and Email Address

The Name field takes your first and last name separately. The Email address field controls the address tied to your Level login.

  1. Click the Name fields and update your first and/or last name.

  2. Click the Email address field and enter a new address if needed.

  3. Click Save changes.

⚠️ WARNING: Changing your email address updates your login credential. Level will log you out immediately after saving — you'll need to sign back in with your new address.

Role

The Role field is a free-text label for your job title within your organization (e.g., "Help Desk Tech," "Senior Engineer," "CEO"). It displays beneath your name wherever your name appears in Level. This has no effect on your permissions — permission roles are managed separately in Workspace → Permissions.

  1. Click the Role field.

  2. Type your job title or description.

  3. Click Save changes.

💡 TIP: This label shows up under your name in the Workspace → Team list and anywhere else your name appears in Level, so it's worth filling in if your organization has multiple technicians with different responsibilities.

Profile Photo

Your photo appears anywhere your name is shown in Level: the bottom-left sidebar, the Workspace → Team members list, and session logs like the Recent sessions panel on device details. If no photo is set, Level uses your initials as a placeholder.

Accepted formats: SVG, PNG, JPG, or GIF. Max size: 500×500px.

  1. Under Your photo, click Click to upload or drag and drop an image file into the upload area.

  2. Confirm the preview looks correct.

  3. Click Save changes.

ℹ️ NOTE: There's no option to remove a photo once uploaded. To revert to initials, upload a new image to replace it.


FAQ

  • How do I change my password? Password changes are handled separately from account details. Go to Settings → Password / 2FA to update your password or set up two-factor authentication.

  • Who can see my profile photo? Any technician in your organization can see your photo anywhere your name appears in Level, including the Workspace → Team list and the Recent sessions panel on device details pages.

  • What's the difference between the Role field here and the roles in Workspace → Permissions? The Role field in your account settings is a free-text job title (e.g., "Help Desk Tech"). It's purely a display label. Permission roles — which control what a technician can access and do in Level — are managed separately in Workspace → Permissions.

  • Can I remove my profile photo? There's no remove option. To go back to your initials, upload a new image to replace the current one.

  • What happens after I change my email address? Level logs you out immediately after saving. Sign back in with your new email address to continue.
